Teams initiated a “fast attack’ and advanced a hose line towards the garage area.

Firefighters had to pull down the soffit and drywall in the garage to get to areas of the garage where the flames had travelled. The fire had also spread into the eaves and attic but crews brought it under control at 7:15 p.m.

No occupants were found inside the structure and there were no injuries reported.

Two adults will be temporarily displaced because the hydro panel was burned off, leaving the house without power.

A fire investigator was assigned to the scene.
