Four hobbits were a long way from Middle Earth on Saturday night, and were spotted dining at a popular Ottawa restaurant.
“Hobbits eat here and you should too,” Le Poisson Bleu posted on social media. “Elijah Wood, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, and Sean Astin were in town for Comiccon and they dined with us here at LPB! We were so stoked the entire day.”
The seafood restaurant on Somerset Street posted a video to social media, showing its staff excitedly preparing to host the stars.

“Can you imagine the excitement we ran with from the moment we saw “Elijah Wood” in our reservations?!” the restaurant said on social media. “They could not have been greater guests, and were honestly still star struck.”
The foursome are best known for their roles as hobbits in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, set in fantastical Middle Earth. Frodo Baggins, played by Wood, inherits the One Ring and is tasked to destroy it in the fires of Mount Doom in order to save the world.
The four hobbits appeared at Ottawa ComicCon on Saturday, offering autographs, photo ops and a special event for their fans.
Social media commentators and Lord of the Rings superfans speculated if the hobbits were dining in for second breakfast or Elevenses. Hobbit followers know the characters eat seven meals a day, including “second breakfast” at about 9 a.m. and “elevenses,” a slightly lighter meal at 11 a.m.
“Did you make him one onion ring to rule them all?” one commenter asked.
