Four taken to hospital after highway crash in Renfrew County

One person was airlifted to hospital with very serious injuries Wednesday morning following a three-car collision on Highway 17 near Haley Station, about 100 kilometres north of Ottawa.

Police said the crash occurred at about 7 a.m. near Chenaux Road.

In addition to the airlifted victim, police said two people were taken to hospital by paramedics.

Highway 17 is expected to remain closed between Chenaux and Haley roads for several hours.
