Gatineau driver caught doing 112 km/h in school zone

An unidentified driver received a fine of $959, 14 demerit points and a seven-day suspension of their driver’s licence after being caught speeding at nearly three times the designated limit in a Gatineau school zone on Thursday.

The Gatineau Police Service said the driver was intercepted after doing 112 km/h in a 40 km/h zone at 7 a.m. on rue d’Orsonnens, near rue Boland, in the Hull sector.
