LRT reopens after ‘technical issue’ shuts line

Article content

Service restarted across the O Train Confederation Line Tuesday morning after a technical issue with the trains’ onboard cameras halted the LRT, the agency said in a post on the social network X. About 90 minutes after it announced the system had shut down, OC Transpo said service had been restored at just after 8 a.m.

“Due to a technical issue with cameras of the trains train service is temporarily suspended,” OC Transpo posted. “We are working to restore Line 1 service as quickly as possible.”

Replacement R1 bus service ran from Tunney’s Pasture to Blair stations.

The technical shutdown comes just as the federal government’s return-to-office order comes into effect for many public servants.
