A 50-year-old Morrisburg man is dead after a three-vehicle collision south of Winchester on Thursday afternoon.

The collision at around 3:30 p.m. involved two SUVs and a transport truck on Bank Street between Winchester and Williamsburg, said OPP.

The initial investigation found the transport was heading south in the southbound lane when a northbound SUV moved into the southbound lane, resulting in a head-on collision, said police. The second SUV then collided with the wreckage.

The driver of one SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The transport driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The other SUV driver was checked out by paramedics, but had no serious injuries.

The investigation continues.
