Man dies of injuries sustained in south Ottawa crash

One man has died following a crash on Mitch Owens Road late Dec. 3, according to the Ottawa Police Service.

In a release, OPS said they were called just after 11 p.m. for a single-vehicle crash on Mitch Owens Road and Old Prescott Road.

A man in his 20s was transported to hospital by paramedics with life-threatening injuries. He was declared dead in hospital.

A woman in her 20s in the vehicle suffered minor injuries, police said.

“Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam/doorbell footage of this incident but has not yet spoken to police,” police said.

“We would like to thank the witness to the collision, as well as Ottawa Fire Services and the Ottawa Paramedic Service, for their care and life-saving attempts at the scene,” police said.
