A 35-year-old man from Pembroke and a 37-year-old man from Ottawa have been charged with manslaughter and drug trafficking in connection with the death of another man in Pembroke last year.
On July 23, officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police found 27-year-old Chance Turcott dead at a residence on Pembroke Street East.

Following an investigation under the direction of the OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch and in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Services, the other two men were recently arrested, the OPP said in a news release on Thursday.
Both remained in custody following bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on Thursday.
The 35-year-old is scheduled to appear again next Tuesday, while the 37-year-old is expected to make his next court appearance on April 18.
