Ottawa police reported Friday that a 32-year-old man listed as missing on Thursday has been located deceased.

“No foul play is suspected,” police said in a news release. “Our thoughts are with the family.”

There were no further details released.

Police searched for the missing man at Britannia Beach on Thursday afternoon, with its marine dive and trail unit and patrol officers combing the waters and surrounding park.

Several police cars and emergency vehicles were on the scene and a large swath of the beach was cordoned off by police tape, but other people were still swimming nearby in the designated swimming area.
