The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry detachment of the OPP is asking for the public’s help after a trucker headed for Newfoundland disappeared, leaving his truck at a gas station near Cornwall.
The 51-year-old transport truck driver, identified only a “Brian,” was on his way to Newfoundland and was expected on the east coast this week, said the OPP. His family last heard from him on Wednesday and tracked the truck’s GPS to a gas station on County Road 27 in the Summerstown area east of Cornwall. They contacted police.

OPP officers confirmed Brian’s truck was at that location, but could not find him. His personal belongings were in the vehicle. Surveillance video shows the missing man getting out of his truck at the gas station just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and walking to the front of his truck. He is not seen again on the video.
The OPP Emergency Response Team, canine unit and drones have conducted a search of the area.
Brian is described as five feet, 10 inches tall, with a medium buioldm weighing about 200 pounds. He has brown eyes and short born hair and was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, jeans and possibly a ball cap.
