Nine-year-old girl found dead after ATV rollover west of Ottawa

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after a nine-year-old girl was killed when the all-terrain vehicle she was riding rolled over in a ditch near the town of Ardoch, Ont., about 130 kilometres west of Ottawa.

Police and other first responders were called to the crash at around 3:30 p.m., Thursday.

Police said someone saw the overturned ATV in a ditch, and then spotted the victim.

The girl, who was from the area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not say whether anyone else was involved.
