One wounded in overnight shooting

One person was wounded in an overnight shooting in downtown Ottawa.

Police say they were called to the 100 block of Besserer Street just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday where the found a person who had been shot. The victim was taken to hospital and was listed in stable condition, according to police.

Police remained on the scene, which is just east of the Rideau Centre, to continue their investigation on Saturday morning.
