OPP ask for help in search for wanted federal offender known to frequent Ottawa area

The OPP are asking for the public’s assistance as they attempt to locate a wanted federal offender who is known to frequent the Ottawa area.

Kevin Okrah is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breach of statutory release. He was serving a five-year, 11-month and 20-day sentence for two counts of robbery-use of a restricted/prohibited firearm; aggravated assault; disguise with intent; possession of a prohibited/restricted firearm/ammunition; possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order; two counts of failure to comply with order; attempt all other indictable; and robbery — all others, the OPP said in a news release Monday.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement unit is asking for help in the search for Okrah, described as Black, 26, 6-1 and 186 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Besides Ottawa, he is also known to often be in Toronto, Durham Region, Orillia and Laval, police said.

Anyone having contact with him or who has information in regard to his whereabouts was asked to contact the ROPE squad at 416-808-5900 or toll-free at 1-866-870-7673 (ROPE), or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or call 911.
