OPP investigating death in Perth

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the death of a person whose body was found in Perth on Friday afternoon.

A news release from the OPP said the body had been located in the area of North Street North and Sherbrooke Street West just before 3 p.m.

Investigators did not believe there was a threat to public safety, the release added.

“The investigation is in its early stages and no further details can be released at this time. Residents of the area should expect to see a large police presence,” it said.
