OPP says shots were fired at ‘wrong address’ in Hawkesbury

Provincial police say an investigation of shots fired at a home in Champlain Township near Hawkesbury earlier this month were intended for another residence.

In a social media post, Hawkesbury OPP confirmed that shots were fired at a home on St. Anne Road in Champlain Township between 11:15 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. on April 7.

“Police believe the suspects attended the wrong address and the residence was not the intended target,” police said.

There were no injuries.

Police say the shooting is considered to be an “isolated incident.” They say there is not threat to the public at this time.

Investigators ask that anyone with information or video of incident along St. Anne Road, between County Road 17 and Charbonneau Road to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
