OPP searches for parole offender who may be in Ottawa

The OPP parole enforcement unit is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a federal [prisoner sought on a Canada-wide warrant for breach of day parole.

Gary Prince, 29, is described as a mix of Black/Caucasian heritage. six feet (182 cm) tall, weighing 145 lbs ((66 kgs) with brown hair and brown eyes.

Prince had been serving a sentence of two years and 13 days for a number of charges including breaking and entering, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and a number of charges of failure to comply with court orders.

He is known to frequent the cities of Scarborough, Toronto and Ottawa.

Anyone having contact with Prince, or who has information in regards to his whereabouts is asked to contact the provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) squad at 416-808-5900 or toll free at 1-866-870-7673 (ROPE) or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or call 911.
