Ottawa man, 25, charged with murder of woman found dead in her Woodroffe Avenue home

Ottawa police have arrested a 25-year-old Ottawa man in connection with the death of a 57-year-old woman found dead in her Woodroffe Avenue home Wednesday afternoon.

Ottawa police homicide unit has arrested and charged Tyler Lambert with second-degree murder in the case. He is to appear in court Friday, police said.

In a brief release, police said officers were called at about 11:15 a.m. Thursday to investigate a “suspicious death” at a home in the 1200 block of Woodroffe.Avenue.

Thursday afternoon, police said the death of Deborah Owen had been deemed a homicide.

Police provided no further details.
