The Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help as they search for a 55-year-old man who was last seen overnight in the Carlingwood area, according to a news release Tuesday.
John Douglas Hume is known to cycle long distances on city bike paths, police said. He rides a red bicycle and was described as white and 5-8, with a slim build and medium shoulder-length peppered hair. He was last seen wearing a red tank top and shorts.
Police and his family are concerned for his well-being, the release stated.
Anyone with information about Hume’s whereabouts was asked to call the Ottawa police at 613-236-1222. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or at crimestoppers.ca.
