Ottawa police search for suspect in alleged LRT sexual assault

Ottawa police are looking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in an alleged sexual assault on the LRT in late October.

The man approached the victim on an afternoon eastbound OC Transpo LRT and allegedly sexually assaulted the victim before getting off the train at Blair Station and taking an eastbound bus, the Ottawa Police Service said in a news release.

Police described the suspect as a black man with dark facial hair and an average build. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt under a puffy black jacket, a dark backpack, black sweatpants and running shoes at the time of the alleged assault.

Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity, or information about the incident, is asked by police to contact the Central Criminal Investigation Section at 613-236-1222 at extension 5166.
