The Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help as they attempt to identify a suspect following an assault at the Rideau Centre on Thursday, Oct. 3.
The incident took place just after 7 p.m. at entrance No. 2, police said in a news release Monday, adding that a verbal altercation had escalated and become physical, with a man in his 60s assaulted.
The suspect was described as a man aged 27-30, standing 5-10 and wearing a blue hoodie, black jeans, a black baseball cap, a black Herschel backpack and blue sneakers.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or with knowledge about the incident was asked to call the Central Criminal Investigations Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5166 (reference case number 24-268314).
