Environment Canada data says eight cm of snow fell on Dec. 4, with more still falling during the following morning commute.

Earlier in the morning, a winter weather travel advisory was in effect, warning motorists of two to four cm of snow, and reduced visibility.

Snow will continue this morning before tapering off later today,” Environment Canada said. “Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.”

Environment Canada is calling for a 40 per cent chance of flurries later in the evening.
