Ottawa weather: Will we see the first snow of the season this week?

Article content

December is fast approaching, the holiday decorations are going up across town, and snow is coming.

Well, maybe. If it does happen, don’t expect it to stick around long.

Friday night, the temperature will drop to a low of zero, with a 40 per cent chance of rain or flurries, according to Environment Canada’s forecast.

Saturday, there’s a 60 per cent chance of rain or flurries, but with a high of six degrees, the best we might hope for is a bit of slush.

If it is the first real snow of the year, it won’t be much. But it’s a start.
