Police seek assistance to ID man unconscious in hospital

Ottawa police are seeking public assistance to identify a man who is in the hospital, unconscious.

The individual was taken to the hospital Tuesday night after suffering a “medical emergency” near the Rideau Canal, at Rideau Street and Colonel By Drive at about 2:30 a.m.

Police describe the victim as Caucasian. between 30-40 years of age, approximately five feet nine inches (175 cm) tall, weighing about 190 pounds (86 kg), with short brown hair. He was wearing black shoes, black shorts and a white T-shirt.

He was not carrying any identification.

The man has two distinctive tattoos, both on his right forearm (see photo).
