Police seek help identifying suspect in Bank Street robbery

Ottawa police are seeking public assistance to identify a suspect in a robbery on Nov. 22 on the 2000 block of Bank Street in the South Keys area.

The robbery occurred at 3:05 p.m., when a man entered the unidentified store and attempted to steal merchandise, according to police.

Police said the man threatened staff with an unidentified weapon when they confronted him and then fled on foot.

There were no reported physical injuries.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, about 50 years old, with a medium build.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black “Helly Hansen” brand jacket, black pants, a beige baseball cap, black shoes and a surgical mask.
