Officers went to the apartment building in the area of Murray Street and Beausoleil Drive. Some of them were at the teen’s apartment door when other officers located her body outside at the base of the building.
Life-saving efforts were unsuccessful and the woman was pronounced dead shortly after, the SIU added.
A post-mortem was scheduled for Friday, Nov. 29.
The SIU urged anyone who may have information about this investigation, including video or photos, to contact the investigator either toll-free at 1-800-787-8529 or online at https://siu.on.ca/en/appeals.php
