Police in Smiths Falls are investigating a “possible stabbing” in the city Friday night.
In a release, police said they were alerted by several 911 calls reporting an incident in the Chambers Street area.

At the scene, officers located a 37-year-old male victim who had suffered a serious injury.
The victim was transported to hospital and remains in serious but stable condition, police said.
Police said there is no concern for public safety related to the incident.
