Suspect in Gatineau homicide to face second-degree murder charge

Gatineau police said Friday that a charge of second-degree murder has been authorized against a 56-year-old man in the death of a 35-year-old man found unconscious Thursday morning on Boulevard des Allumettières.

A 41-year-old woman arrested with the accused was released without charges.

The accused is to appear in Quebec court Friday afternoon.

Police identified the victim as Maxim Bourgon-Frigon, 35. It was the third homicide in Gatineau this year.
