Three people face a long list of charges in connection with a “kidnapping, robbery and extortion” in October.

In a release, Ottawa police said the victim, a youth, was picked up by a suspect and driven to a residence in Orléans.
The victim’s name and other details are covered by a publication ban. The victim was confined to the residence, assaulted and video-recorded as the accused individuals demanded money.

The next day, the victim was able to escape and alerted someone to call police.
On Oct. 25, the Ottawa Police Service robbery unit charged a 17-year-old in connection with the incident.
On Nov. 13, a search warrant was executed at the Orléans residence where the victim had been held. Evidence obtained during the search supported charging two more people, who were arrested that day.
Police said Stéphanie Perron, 35, was charged with:
- Forcible confinement
- Kidnapping
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public
- Possession of a weapon for committing an offence
- Possession of child pornography
- Sexual assault with a weapon
- Sexual exploitation of a young person
- Robbery
Faith Manzonzika, a 20-year-old Ottawa man, was charged with:
- Forcible confinement
- Kidnapping
- Possession of a weapon for committing an offence
- Possession of child pornography
- Sexual assault with a weapon
- Robbery
- Breach of probation
A 17-year-old Ottawa youth, who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with:
- Robbery with a weapon
- Kidnapping
- Forcible confinement
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public
- Possession of child pornography
- Breach of probation
- Failure to comply with a sentence
Police said further criminal charges were possible as the investigation was continuing. Investigators are concerned that there may be other victims.
