Three-year-old suffers life-threatening injuries in single-vehicle collision on 417 east of Ottawa

A three-year-old was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries Saturday following a single-vehicle collision in the eastbound lanes of Highway 417 east of Ottawa.

The Hawkesbury detachment of the OPP is investigating the crash that took place at about 3 p.m. just west of County Road 14.

The driver and two other passengers in the vehicle were transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the OPP said in a news release.

OPP technical collision investigators are assisting in the investigation, police said.
