Provincial police arrested two Toronto-area people following a “high-risk traffic stop” Saturday on Highway 401 near Prescott.

Police were called for a “road rage” incident Saturday after an occupant of a vehicle reportedly flashed a handgun at a second vehicle.

Officers from the Grenville detachment quickly located and arrested the suspects while still on the highway.

An 18-year-old person from Brampton and a 20-year-old person from Caledon were charged with possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Both were later released with a November court date in Brockville.
