Two arrested, two more sought after person seriously injured in Renfrew home invasion

Provincial police in Renfrew are investigating a home invasion robbery Saturday that left one person with serious injuries.

The attack began about 6 p.m. on Bonnechere Street in Renfrew when individuals broke into a home and assaulted the resident.

The victim was transported to hospital and is recovering.

The attackers had fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in the victim’s car.

The vehicle was located a short time later on Briscoe Road where it had been set on fire.

Two suspects were arrested on the scene, but police suspect two other people were involved.

Police believe it was a targeted attack, with no risk to the general public.

The investigation is ongoing by patrol members as well as the Renfrew County Crime Unit, the Community Street Crime Unit, OPP Canine Unit and Forensic Identification Unit.
