A 35-year-old resident of Renfrew and a 31-year-old from Grand Calumet Island have been charged in connection with a home invasion last weekend, while Ontario Provincial Police have issued an arrest warrant for a third individual and are seeking public assistance in identifying a fourth person.
In an updated news release on Tuesday, the OPP said the home invasion robbery occurred on Saturday at about 6 p.m. on Bonnechere Street South in Renfrew. Individuals broke into a home and assaulted the resident, resulting in serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The homeowner’s car was found on fire a short time later on Briscoe Road, and two people were arrested. Both are charged with robbery with violence, aggravated assault, forcible confinement, arson, theft of a vehicle, theft under $5,000 and break and enter.
The 35-year-old was also charged with assault of a peace officer and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
Both individuals were remanded in custody until scheduled court appearances later this week in Pembroke.
An arrest warrant was issued for a third person, police said Tuesday, and investigators requested public assistance to identify a fourth person.
“It is believed this was a targeted incident and there is no risk to the general public,” the OPP news release said.
