Police said Tuesday that two men made racial slurs and threats towards a family while on OC Transpo on Canada Day and then assaulted an adult who was injured and transported to a local hospital.

The suspects were located that evening by OC Transpo Special Constables.

OC Transpo’s Special Constable Unit has charged Pauloosie Ipeelie, 27,  and David J. Amagoalik, 26, both of Ottawa, with assault. They are scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 7.
