Update: Environment Canada’s tornado watch for Ottawa is over

Environment Canada had issued a tornado watch for the entire National Capital Region on Monday and it carried into the evening, but the alert had ended by shortly after 8 p.m.

The watch, which covered a wide stretch from Kingston to the southwest to Renfrew in the west to Clarence-Rockland in the east and Gatineau in the north, was issued Monday morning.
