Update: Suspect in commercial thefts has been identified, police say

Ottawa police, who were seeking to identify a female suspect in a spate of commercial thefts across the city dating back to February, said in an update Monday that she has been identified, and that the investigation continues.

Police had said in a news release Friday that, during the thefts, a woman would enter each store, take merchandise from the shelves, conceal it and leave on foot.
