Sunday morning is starting out wintery at -3 C, but Mother Nature is saving the best for later. And with temperatures hovering around the freezing mark, it could get messy into Monday.

Snow, at times heavy, is forecast to begin this afternoon, with 15-20 cm expected by the time the snow tapers off Monday morning.

This heavy snow is due to a strengthening low pressure system that will track northeastward across the lower Great Lakes tonight.
