Woman killed in early morning car crash in Gracefield

The Sûreté du Québec is investigating after a woman in her 20s was killed in a collision early Saturday on Rue Principale in Gracefield, about 100 km north of Ottawa in Outaouais.

An SQ spokesman said the crash occurred at about 1 a.m. when the vehicle allegedly crashed into a parked truck trailer.

The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 20s, was taken into custody by SQ on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death and driving while impaired by alcohol causing death.

However, no charges have been filed against him.

Specialists remain at the crash site for continued investigation.
