The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said two people were injured in a collision on Highway 417 on Saturday.
Officials said that just before 2 a.m., the vehicle hit a barrier on Kent Street before rolling over. Both the driver and passenger were brought to hospital and were treated for minor injuries.
OPP officers charged the driver with impaired driving and say they registered “more than twice the legal limit.” They have been hit with a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The driver is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on Aug. 28.
