The Ottawa Police Services (OPS) said a 9-year-old has died after being pulled from Britannia Beach on June 3.
The boy was found unresponsive in the water around 3:50 p.m. on Monday. Bystanders and police began CPR until paramedics arrived and took over, a press release reads.
After being rushed to hospital, police said the boy was declared dead.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this incredibly difficult time,” OPS said.
Officials are asking the public for any more information of the incident.
