One person was sent to hospital following an assault at a pub in Perth this week.
Officers with the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a pub on Foster Street around 12:45 a.m. on Thursday, July 18.
A large group of people had gathered outside, and a 33-year-old man was found lying on the ground.
The injured man was taken to hospital by the Lanark County Paramedic Service with non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, Douglas Best, 58, of Tay Valley Township, faces one count of assault.
The accused has been released from custody and is due in court in Perth on August 12.
Another person was arrested at the scene for interfering with the investigation and has since been released without charges.
The investigation is continuing.
