Attempted break-and-enter east of downtown, police looking for suspects

Two individuals are believed to have attempted to break-and-enter a residence in Ottawa on Tuesday morning.

It happened in the 600 block of Borthwixk Avenue around 4:28 a.m. on July 23, 2024.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has released images of the two suspects they believe are involved. OPS hope the images can help identify the suspects.

Police describe the suspects as the following:

Suspect #1

  • Male
  • Middle Eastern
  • 20-35 years old
  • Average build
  • Full beard
  • Was wearing a New England Patriots toque, black coat, black pants and black shoes at the time of the incident

Suspect #2

  • Male
  • White
  • 30-35 years old
    Average build
  • Was wearing a blue denim shirt, blue jeans and white shoes at the time of the incident

Police ask anyone with information on their identity is asked to contact them at 613-236-1222, extension 5116 or to submit a tip through Crime Stoppers.
