Provincial police and the East Region Community Street Crime Unit laid charges against two people after finding drugs in Bancroft.
Officers executed a search warrant at a home on Bridge Street West in the town on Feb. 4. During the operation, police arrested four people and brought two children to a safe location.
Officials found suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, psilocybin and hydromorphone pills. They also found $2,000 in cash and a crossbow.
As a result of the investigation, Ryan Hogan, 41, of Bancroft was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts
- Possession of a Schedule 3 substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
- Failure to comply with a release order
- Fail to comply with a probation order – three counts.
Emily Grahame, 37, of Bancroft is facing:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts
- Possession of a Schedule 3 substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Both appeared for a bail hearing on Tuesday. The other two people taken into custody were released without conditions.
