A preventive boil water is in place for a section of the Gatineau sector.
The City of Gatineau says the advisory has been issued for nearly 300 homes in the La Blanche area due to a break in the water supply system.
Affected individuals and establishments are advised to boil their water for one minute before consumption until the advisory is lifted.
Once the advisory has been lifted, the following steps need to be taken:
- Open all cold water faucets and let the water run for one minute or until it becomes cold before using it. The same should be done for water fountains
- Discard any ice that was made with the water while the advisory was in effect
