An investigation is underway after a serious crash between a car and a pick-up truck left five people with injuries on Highway 7 between Carleton Place and Perth on Tuesday.
The collisions happened at 8:15 a.m. this morning and left one person with critical injuries and one with “very serious” injuries, the Ontario Provincial Police East Region detachment said.
Three other people involved in the incident are reported to be in stable condition.
Police say Highway 7 is closed between Fergusons Falls Road to Drummond Concession Road 7 in Lanark County. Detours are in place for vehicles.
