Cocaine, brass knuckles seized during Pembroke traffic stop

Four people are facing charges after a traffic stop in Pembroke.

On Friday, June 21, members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Hunter Street.

Brass knuckles and a quantity of suspected cocaine were seized by officer and three occupants of the vehicle were arrested without incident 

A fourth person was arrested following a foot chase that led to a police officer being assaulted.

The officer suffered minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation Tyler Goderre, 33, Patricia Goulet-Cousineau, 20, Kyle Jones, 31, Terry Turcotte, 30, all from Pembroke, face the following charges:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
  • Possession of a prohibited device

Turcotte faces the following additional charges:

  • Assault a peace officer
  • Resist a peace officer
  • Fail to comply with a probation order (two counts)

Goderre faces the following additional charge:

  • Obstruct peace officer

Jones faces the following additional Highway Traffic Act (HTA) charge:

  • Driving under licence of another jurisdiction while suspended in Ontario

Turcotte was held for bail hearing and remains in custody until his next court appearance on June 28.

Goderre was released with a court date on July 29.

Jones and Goulet-Cousineau were released with court dates on July 30.
