Provincial police are asking for witnesses to come forward following a single-vehicle collision in Ottawa over the weekend.
Shortly before 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20, members of the Ottawa Detachment of the OPP responded to the crash on Highway 417 at Moodie Drive
According to the OPP, the collision occurred as a direct result of several vehicles racing along the highway.
Footage from the Ontario Ministry of Transport showed the group travelling at high speeds on the highway, starting near Terry Fox Drive until the collision occurred.
There are no injuries reported.
One driver has been charged with stunt driving and careless driving, while another person was arrested at the scene and charged with obstructing police.
Both individuals will appear in court at a later date.
Police are also looking to speak with the other drivers involved, any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage.
