Firefighters extricated a trapped driver after a vehicle rolled multiple times on Highway 174 this weekend.
Around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10, Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to reports of a flipped pickup truck on the highway at Blair Road.
The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) reported that the truck had flipped and landed in the median.
One occupant was able to get out of the vehicle, but the driver was trapped inside.
Firefighters quickly stabilized the vehicle before beginning the extrication process and used special tools to remove a section of the vehicle’s roof.
The driver was pulled from the vehicle at 1:40 p.m.
OFS said firefighters spread absorbent on the leaking fluids and disconnected the batteries prior to clearing the scene.
