Fentanyl and other drugs seized during traffic stop

The Ottawa police Centretown Neighbourhood Resource Team conducted a routine traffic stop which resulted in drug seizures and arrests.

Police say 150 grams of fentanyl was confiscated as well as crack cocaine, hydromorphone pills and cannabis.

One male suspect is facing multiple drug-related and driving-related charges as a result.

The investigation continues with the Ottawa police’s street crime unit and the identity of the individual was not released.

Announced last week, a month-long investigation led to an Ottawa resident’s arrest after officers searched two homes in Ottawa south.

Drugs, guns and ammunition was found following the search of the homes.

The accused is charged with using/handling/storing a gun carelessly, possesses weapon for dangerous to public, fail to comply with release order, firearm without holding licence and schedule I substance. In total there were 16 offences laid against the person.
