Four charged after search warrants turn up drugs for trafficking in Arnprior

Four people were arrested and charged with incident after Ontario Provincial Police executed two search warrants that turned up drugs for trafficking.

Two residences on Caruso Street and Albert Street in Arnprior were searched on Sept. 17. Officers found cocaine, heroin, four cell phones, a tablet, a replica handgun, digital scales and $200 in cash.

As a result a 41-year-old female from Arnprior was charged with trafficking a schedule I substance (cocaine). She was released from custody and will be in court in November.

A 34-year-old woman from Arnprior was charged with the same thing but her charges included possession of schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (heroin) and property obtained by crime under $5,000. She was released from custody.

Two 40-year-old men, one from Ottawa and the other from Arnprior, are facing the same charges.

  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

The two men were held for a bail hearing.
