Gatineau police searching for missing man

The hunt is on for a man who has been missing for close to three weeks.

The Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG) is asking the public for help locating Nicolas Garneau-Mineault, 30.

The SPVG and his relatives have reason to fear for his health and safety.

Garneau-Mineault was apparently seen for the last time on June 1, when he left a relative’s residence on Louis-Jolliet Street, in the Pointe-Gatineau sector.

He is described as:

  • White
  • 5’10” (1.78 meters) tall
  • 140 lbs. (63 kg)
  • Average stature
  • Short brown hair
  • Blue eyes
  • Short beard
  • Tattoos on his right arm, shoulder, hand, and neck.

It’s possible Garneau-Mineault is travelling on foot and could be in the Gatineau or Buckingham areas.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the SPVG at 819 246-0222.
